Hey Everyone!
Planning is in full effect for Camp Birchrock's Day and Resident Camp 2010 Season! I wanted to send a quick note to everyone to share a few tidbits of info
1) NOW is the time to sign up for Resident (overnight) Camp! If you sign up your child between now and May 15th for Resident Camp, we will offer a $25 Early Bird Discount! Don't miss this opportunity! (not valid with other discounts)
2) Please join us for an open house at Camp Birchrock on Saturday, May 22nd from 10am-1pm. This will be an opportunity for you, the parents and children, to meet and get acquanted with our 2010 Summer staff, as well as touring our facility and getting to Lunch will be served at 12pm.
3) There is some confusion on our website as to the dollar amount of deposit. The proper amount is $10/week for day camp, and $25/week for resident camp.
4) There is also some confusion for our Summer School discount program. If your child is signed up for Rhinelander School Districts Summer School program, you will receive a $50 discount (1/2 price) for those weeks they are attending summer school only, since you will not be bringing your child out to camp until summer school is done.
5) Day Camp Health Forms! Please download and use "Camper Health Form 1" provided on our website here: http://www.campbirchrock.org/files/HealthForm1(1).pdf and send in. You do not need Health Form 2 for Day Camp, only Resident Camp!
I would also like to tell everyone the most recent exciting news. I have recently added a new member to our Director Staff here at Camp Birchrock! Alexandra Pelley has joined us as my new Assistant Director! Alexandra originally hails from Canada, but has lived in the Northwoods for the past number of years with her husband, and 2 year old son. She has multiple years experience working at Camp Nicolet in Eagle River as a counselor, instructor, and staff leader; as well as a program director. Alexandra will not only be assuming the duties as my assistant, but will also be taking on the role of our Day Camp Director. I'm VERY excited to have Alexandra as part of our leadership team this year!
